Kids

1. Can I get school credit?
There is no school credit available, but internships may be a possibility for college students majoring in engineering and the like.

2. What will I learn?
Plan to learn how to design, construct and program a fully functional robot using material such as wood, metal and Lego. In addition to projects, students learn about team-building and more.

3. Will we have homework?
No homework is given but plenty of dedicated, focused work is required while in the robotics lab

4. Do we go on field trips?
Robotics teams go to competitions around the state and country. Meanwhile, enrichments trips are planned to broaden the students’ perspective and awareness.

5. What do I have to bring when I come?
Bring your dedication.

Parents

1. How much does the program cost?
The summer program costs $100 per week, and limited scholarships are available for low-income families.

2. How many times per week do you meet?
Every day during the summer and routinely after-school for workshops and competitions.

3. How long are the sessions?
The summer sessions last throughout the workday and week.

Volunteers

1. How can I get involved?
Send us an email via the contact page, indicating your intentions.

2. Is there an age limit for volunteers?
All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

3. How often are volunteers needed?
Volunteers are needed during trips and competitions, as well as during regular design sessions to assist students.

4. What are volunteers usually required to do?
Volunteers should have some background in science, technology or engineering in order to assist students in designing robots. Volunteers are also needed to mentor students during workshops and special session.
